From BibleStudyTools.com, A definition of Church: “an assembly of Christians gathered for worship in a religious meeting.” While many would oppose this definition of church, it captures the most common understanding of the term. We can debate its meaning another time. Given the fact that as many as 118 Million people will be attending church in the U.S. today, and many more millions world-wide will have already done so, I thought it would be an interesting exercise to ask two questions. Regardless of how you gather today today, .i.e. Mega-Mini-Satelite-Campus-House Church-Simple-Organic etc.,
What are your expectations for church today?
Were those expectations met?

Are Christians Bound to the Practices of the Primitive Church?

was in a modern denomination “church” this morning, seeing so many under extreme weakness and being furnished their “starvation rations”. These building organizations (which cannot function as ekklesia due to their agendas, mandates, and burden of structure) provide a working conduit whereby people are to be coming out of them and entering into the fullness & obedience of Christ (set free and no longer held to be emaciated in spirit). It’s become a nearly-horrific experience to visit another pulpit/steeple gathering and witness the suffering within. Every now and then, someone will invite me and Father will have me go with. And to see the deprivation of young children inside these weekend facilities (after they are separated from their parents)! Thanks be to God, as He has made a more excellent way.
So in other words, it met your expectations…..
